funeral

"Bea" showed up at my father's wake. Her presence, after I had asked her to "please stay away" totally rattled me. She didn't speak to me, but of course, she glared. She brought her son and son-in-law with her. The son came over to DH and me, shook our hands, and said abruptly: "Sorry for your loss".

The next morning, the family members who showed up (thank you! xo) lined up for the procession into the church. As Mass was about to begin, "Bea" shows up in funeral attire and joins the "family" procession. I knew she timed it that way on purpose because she thinks she's "family". I can't imagine anyone else having the cojones to do something like this.

DH and his family helped my kids and me to get through this. They were tremendous. I love them so much for their kindness. xoxo
